Our Mission
We make it our mission to treat each child as if they were our own. Because when it comes to our own kids, only the best will do! We personalize treatments, make sure kids feel safe and comfortable, and create a dental experience that will make them look forward to their return visit. As a patient of Dr. Kabakoff, you'll experience her dedicated care and love for children. And you'll know she has your best interest in mind when she recommends treatment for your family.
Get To Know Dr. Mitra Kabakoff
Dr. Kabakoff has always known she wanted to work in healthcare. She studied biology at UCLA before earning her dental degree from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. After graduating from dental school, she continued her training in hospital dentistry at UCLA. It was during this time when she did a three-month rotation at Children's Hospital LA that she knew she wanted to specialize in pediatric dentistry.
After general residency, she moved to NYC for a pediatric residency at Lutheran Medical Center. Training in a hospital-based program provided her with excellent clinical experience in treating a wide range of patients. She has worked as an associate dentist since 2005 and became a board-certified pediatric dentist in 2012.
Dr. Kabakoff's favorite thing about being a pediatric dentist is getting to know children and teaching them healthy oral habits they will build upon for the rest of their lives. She aspires to help kids create a positive association with going to the dentist and to build strong, trusting relationships with patients and their families.
Dr. Kabakoff is a proud diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association, and the Connecticut Society of Pediatric Dentists. Dr. Kabakoff also maintains her California license and is a member of the California Dental Association.

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends kids visit the dentist by the age of one. These early appointments are important for building a foundation for oral health.
